Inspired by the casual elegance of the American countryside, Trudie reimagines classic homewares with playful charm. Escape with us to a land where the pace is slower, the colors are brighter, and the tea is sweeter. Simply put, life is livelier with Trudie.
Think of Trudie as your new best friend. She's as much at ease mucking around in gardening boots as she is with a cocktail in hand. Snobbery has no place in her home, but if it's style you seek, you'll find it in spades. Her motto is "come as you are" and her smartly set table always has room for one more.
BEHIND THE NAME
Trudie was named after the trailblazing Gertrudes in history: explorer Gertrude Bell, horticulturalist Gertrude Jekyll, writer Gertrude Stein, folk artist Sister Gertrude Morgan, and sculptor Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney, among others. We are inspired by their confidence, style, and zest for life.
HAND CRAFTED WITH CARE
Our throws are genuine patchwork that is meticulously pieced together before being hand quilted by artisans in India. In Kashmir, skilled artists have hand painted each piece of our floral enamelware designs.
QUALITY YOU CAN TRUST
Our textiles are organic cotton with STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification. They have been tested and proven free from harmful levels of hazardous substances. Even our quilt batting is organic cotton.
Trudie was dreamt up during a North Carolina coffee date between kindred spirits Megan Sommers and Katie Armour Taylor. The two bonded over a love of colorful patchwork quilts and lamented their scarcity in the market. They began creating their own designs, reimagining American country style with a playful wink. This September, Trudie will unveil its first collection of homewares.
